It's taken a lot of thought, some mixed decisions, but I've finally figured out what I'm doing after the current semester of community college. There will, not, be any 4 year college for me. It's take time to think this through, but I decided not to go to a graduate school just yet. It's not only because of financial costs, this is a very little factor in my decision. It's in fact, due to that I don't really need the BFA right now.
It's true that I eventually want to teach at an atelier school, and that I'll need a MFA to teach. This is why I'll get that later, and free lance for now. I know I'm not good right now, which brings me to my next point. I'm going to do another semester of Community College.
My other reason for not going to a graduate school, is that I can get the same education, probably better, at my community college. This shit hasn't been easy! But I enjoy it, and I think it's a good school, for such a great price. Only $200-300 for an art class! Compare that to the $25,000 per year prices for art schools.
Next, concept artists, can get hired into great companies without having a graduate degree, but only a high school diploma. Free lancing requires no degree at all!
I can work, and draw full time, go to school, and still end up with the same education as I would with a highly expensive, 4 year art school.
So yea, that's my plan.
